Need Help With Your Attitude?

There is a great book that can help get your attitude in line with God's will.  I recommend James McDonald's book, Lord, Change My Attitude (Before It's Too Late).  You can order the book from any local book store or via the internet.  Take the time and read it, I promise your attitude will never be the same.

Guest Teacher at New Prospect Baptist Church

Pastor Forsythe will be teaching the gospel of John at New Prospect Baptist Church, where Dr. Wilma Johnson serves as the pastor, on Thursday evenings February, 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd at 6:30p.m. - 8:00pm.  Members of Pleasant Grove are invited to attend.

Exercise with the Pastor - Pleasant Grove Pacers

As the weather changes from Fall to Winter, it is time for the Pleasant Grove Pacers to walk the mall for health and well being.  Beginning Monday, November 7, 2005, we will walk at Northland Mall beginning at 8:00a.m. every Monday.  Anyone who desires to walk with Pastor Forsythe is invited.  Come and let us walk and fellowship and have a good time together.

2006 Membership Registration

As the year comes to a close, it is time when all members must register for 2006.  This year we have new membership forms.  We are requesting that as you register to please fill out the form completely.  It is imperative that members help us maintain the membership files each year.  The church will register home bound members.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.  

Lifeline Ministry

Asking for clothing donations, we need clothing for men, women and children, all sizes new and used.  All items must be clean, pressed, on hangers and the clothes labeled in size.  Underwear, socks, t-shirts, etc. must be new and in packages.  

DTE Energy Payment Assistance Program

Each winter, many Michigan families and seniors struggle to pay their energy bills.  Through the following program and with the help of others, DTE Energy is ready to help customers keep their lights on and stay warm this winter.

IMPORTANT:  Contact DTE Energy at 800.477.4747 BEFORE your service is subject to shutoff.  We will work with you to set up a payment plan or advise you of assistance agencies in your area.

Winter Protection Plann (WPP)

This program protects seniors and low-income customers from shutoff between December 1 and March 31.  During this period, customers must pay a portion of their estimated annual bill plus regular payment on any past-due bills.

If you are 62 years of age or older call DTE Energy and register as a senior, the State has mandated that no senior's gas can be shutoff.  Seniors will receive $12.00 per month credit on their gas bill during the winter months starting January 2006.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Evette P. Jones Scholarship donations are every 4th Sunday of each month.

Pleasant Grove Tape Ministry has tapes available upon request for purchase of Sunday services for $5.00
